Our Mixed-Age Kindergarten is Born!

Timeline of Events:
January 9, 2008 - Contact with Christ Episcopal Church requesting lease agreement for use of facility

January 28, 2008 - Christ Church Vestry approves our lease

April 11, 2008 - Application for special permit submitted to Norwalk Planning and Zoning Commission

May 1, 2008 - Our Lead Kindergarten Teacher is hired

June 18, 2008 - Public Hearing for Clover Hill School at the Norwalk Planning and Zoning Commission - APPROVED!

June 26, 2008 - First components of the State Licensing application are submitted to Hartford.

Summer 2008 - Renovation construction is begun:
  • Ceiling is raised and renewed.
  • Lighting is upgraded.
  • Floor linoleum is removed and original oak floor is discovered underneath. Floor is stripped and refinished.
  • Construction of handicapped accessible bathroom with special hand washing station for the children.

September 30-31, 2008 - The classroom is lazured

November 2008 - Classroom is furnished and decorated

March 31, 2009 - The Clover Hill School becomes a fully licensed Day Care Center
